Return to Fifth Eurochannel Short Films Tour Biography - Lenny Van Wesemael After completing her studies in directing at KASK in Ghent with the short film Dans met mij as her graduation project, Lenny Van Wesemael got off to a successful start as a budding director, as shown by the short films Test and L´Origine du Monde and three video clips for Lady Linn and Her Magnificent Seven. In addition, Van Wesemael worked as extras director on De helaasheid der dingen (Felix van Groeningen) and Aanrijding in Moscow (Christophe Van Rompaey), as well as doing the casting for many other films, including Turquaze (Kadir Balci). Besides film, Van Wesemael has one other great passion: dance. She has worked as a choreographer and dancer, and she recently created her own dance project, Blades on Vinyl, with dancers on roller skates. In Dancing with Travolta Lenny Van Wesemael has succeeded in combining the two passions. |
