Eurochannel invites you to accompany a unique character in his quest to find the right man for a Bulgarian woman… he is Gangster of Love.
Gangster of Love is the debuted feature-length documentary of director Nebojsa Slijepcevic. By telling the story of a Bulgarian woman trying to find love in Croatia with the help of Ganster, it also depicts a deeper concept: a Croatian man would rather die alone than marry a foreigner with a child.
This original story, premiered at the ZagrebDox International Documentary Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award, offers a light and pleasant viewing experience with a comedic tone that puts it in the crowd-pleaser category. However, in its essence, it is a serious exploration of mentality, social issues and nature of relationships, particularly from the men's perspective.
Come along Maya and Gangster in a pursuit of love… will they find what they are looking for?
Matchmaker Nedilijko Babic, also known as “Gangster”, helps a Bulgarian single mother find a new husband in Croatia. But a series of comically disastrous dates discloses the true nature of conservative men: they would rather die alone than marry a foreigner with a child.
