Directed by Massimo Ferrari, Sophia: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow depicts the life of Sophia Loren in an innovative fashion. Divided in four parts, this documentary showcases the life of one of the last great divas as seen through the eyes of her most representative characters: "Filumena" (Marriage Italian Style), "Cesira" (Two Women), "Mara" (Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow), and "Antonietta" (A Special Day), in an attempt to strike a balance between the real person and the roles she interpreted.

A testament of love for the Italian legend, this production also offers an exclusive and very personal interview with Loren, as well as interviews with the most prestigious names of international cinema, such as Woody Allen, Ettore Scola, Claude Chabrol, Lina Wertmuller, and Maria Grazia Cucinotta.
