Three great European heist TV series

Celebrating the airing of the French action drama, The Hold-Up, about a bank heist with unpredictable consequences, we have selected three must-see series about the subject. With plenty of action and drama, these series are a treat to the senses.

Money Heist

One of the most famous series in recent years worldwide, especially across Latin America, Money Heist tells the story of a group of robbers while assaulting Spain’s central bank. As the plot develops, eight thieves take hostages and lock themselves in the Royal Mint of Spain as a criminal mastermind manipulates the police to carry out his plan.

This Spanish production was initially released as a limited series but after its unprecedented success, the production received commissions for two more seasons.

Inside Men

Set in Bristol (United Kingdom), Inside Men is a one-of-a-kind production full of adventure and nail-biting moments. This four-part miniseries follows the story of an armed robbery at a secure money counting house, the events that led to it, the characters who work there, and the aftermath. It begins with a depiction of the brutal robbery and then explores the motivations of those who committed the crime.

The Great Train Robbery

Produced by the BBC in the United Kingdom, The Great Train Robbery is a two-part crime miniseries with a riveting story that made the headlines back in the 1960s. In the series, the event of The Great Train Robbery on 8 August 1963 is told from two perspectives, first from the perspective of the robbers, and then from the perspective of the police.
