(2006), an innovative production which contains no dialogue. Starring actress Angela Finocchiaro and featuring Maurizio Nichetti, the series uses nothing but visuals to show the daily adventures of a normal Italian family; a mother and three young boys. Aired in six episodes that run eight minutes each, the series uses music to mark the fast paced life of a dedicated mother and her sons Niccolo, age 4, Nina, 7, and Micol, 13. As with many families, the mother prepares breakfast, takes the children to school, buys groceries, does housework, and somehow still finds time to take care of herself. Apart from the usual routine, many unexpected events that demand her attention take place over the course of the day. Due to the absence of a father, the family relies on the support of a guardian, played by Maurizio Nichetti. Mamma Mia! is an endearing tribute to women; the all-too-often underappreciated root of so many families. Airing times
