The Second Eurochannel Short-Films Tour is a tribute to a changing Europe. A special occasion to discover the richness of contemporary creation, through short-films coming from all over Europe.

For this second edition, Eurochannel enlarges European borders: not only to the countries members of the European Union, but also all Eastern Europe, Russia, the Balkans, and Turkey will be there, giving a taste of great, cultural Europe. The Film production from these countries still appeals only to a limited audience. The Eurochannel Tour is an opportunity for these productions to be seen by a broader audience, being acknowledged and appreciated by everybody. It is an unique occasion to discover an artistic creation both distant and close.

Each one of these films must be seen as a sample of its home country, and can reveal some of the country's most intimate life. Other ways to live, love and hate, are shown with sensitivity. The short-film is also a particular way of making films, an artistic choice, that many directors have made to express their talent. It has its own style, its own pace, its own possibilities.

Eurochannel's selection of short films reveals the many faces of Europe. But a common culture can also be seen through the cultural identities. It is an occasion to explore the multiple ways and in the same time what brings them closer together. Each film is a view of today's Europe, a step closer to a greater cultural community. It is a chance for the directors to lay the foundations of a truly European creation.
