Black Book (2006)
Israel 1956, Jewish teacher Rachel unexpectedly runs into an old friend at the kibbutz where she works. Her wartime experiences in the Netherlands and emotions of betrayal are brought back by it.1944 September, when allied forces bomb Rachel's hiding spot, she is in jeopardy.
When the South Netherlands is liberated, she makes touch with a member of the resistance and joins a group of Jews being smuggled over the Biesbosch by boat. But all of them are murdered by Germans from a patrol boat. Only Rachel manages to get away. A rebel squad led by Gerben Kuipers successfully rescues her. After being caught trying to smuggle weapons, Kuipers' son asks Rachel to woo SS-hauptsturmführer Ludwig Müntze. She will soon discover that the attack in the Biesbosch was not an accident.

Godforsaken (2003)
Schoolboy Stan, 17, becomes acquainted with the minor offender Maikel, who is three years older. The local drug mafia boss is impressed when the boys accidentally kill their victim during a robbery. The boys rapidly establish themselves as his murder squad after this person notices something in them. As the events go, their friendship gets stronger. The only issue is with Anna, Maikel's girlfriend. Stan still manages to keep her at a distance while developing more of a love for her than he would want. Anna then learns why Maikel is so wealthy. She asks Stan for assistance in escaping since she is afraid. Stan is forced to choose between the horrified Anna and Maikel. An impossible choice.

New Kids Turbo (2010)
The economic crisis has led to the firing of five "Maaskantje" friends. They make the decision to stop making purchases. While the police work to stop them, they are stealing food and beer. The Maaskantje police officer is unable to stop the five pals, so the defence minister decides to send assistance.

Winter in Wartime (2008)
Michiel, a 14-year-old boy who helps a wounded British soldier near the conclusion of World War II, joins the Resistance. As the battle comes to a conclusion, Michiel reaches adulthood and discovers the sharp contrast between adventurous imagination and the gruesome realities of war.
