Music can be tough. Countless musicians fade away or burn out at an early age, but rare few soldiers kept it on, entertaining their audiences well into old age. Here are a few legends that, despite their age, can still rock with the best of them.

American icon Tony Bennett is one of the country’s most important singers. With a musical career that spans over six decades, he has broken numerous records, winning 15 Grammy Awards and two Emmy Awards. In his long career, Bennett has performed for Queen Elizabeth II and several US presidents.

In 2011, Bennett released a duet album in which he sings alongside new stars such as Lady Gaga and the now-deceased Amy Winehouse.

Julio Iglesias

He is one of the world’s most influential Hispanic artists with a stunning 40 year long career. Julio Iglesias started performing at the Benidorm International Song Festival in 1968 and two years later he represented Spain in the Eurovision contest.

After moving to the US, Iglesias boosted his career by signing with CBS International, which quickly made of him a phenomenon across Latin America, Spain, Italy, France and Serbia. In March 2011 Julio Iglesias released a new studio album: Número 1.

Joe Cocker rocketed to fame in the 60s when he released a single covering the classic  Beatles song “With a Little Help From My Friends”. This famous cover would later resurface in the 80s when it was used as the introductory song for the US series The Wonder Years.

Joe Cocker has entertained audiences across the world with his unique gritty voice and also appeared in minor cinema roles such as the lead singer on another Beatles hit: “Come Together”, in the film Across the Universe.
