In October, take a trip to Germany with Eurochannel! Eurochannel’s 5th edition of German Month: Never Before Seen Series and Movies, to the tune of thrilling European music. This October, Eurochannel is proud to present the 5th Edition of German Month. This popular special presentation, with the support of our friends at German Films, showcases an exciting collection of movies, documentaries, music specials and more for the first time in the USA. Capping off with a tribute to Germany’s most renowned artists, and the third and final season of the explosive cop drama KDD – Berlin Crime Squad, this month shows the very best of modern German culture for the whole world to see. Modern Germany has become a truly cosmopolitan nation, and every form of its entertainment highlights a new world of open-mindedness, diverse culture, and rich social diversity. With the largest economy in the European Union, Germany has become a breeding ground for the hottest new artists, actors, musicians, and directors, each of them breaking new ground with their fresh talent and youthful passion. This October, Eurochannel highlights the best of their work. From the ferocious industrial heavy metal of Rammstein to the stylish pop-rock from Tokio Hotel, Germany has produced an endless variety of international music sensations. And Germany’s international sprit is best reflected in its ever-changing music scene: the Afro-German reggae artist Patrice brings the soul of Sierra Leon to the European stage, and the Nigerian born Nneka’s rich, moving voice shakes the world of hip-hop to its core with her politically charged lyrics, sung in both English and Igbo, about the plight of modern Africa. This variety of music; along with the hilarious comedy Evet, I Do, which follows the difficulties of four Turkish couples on the brink of marriage, showcases the diversity and openness of German culture with exquisite results. Along with this varied line up, October brings numerous films, each showcased for the very first time on television. Among these thrilling and poignant stories we find the work of young filmmaker Marc Rensing and his brilliant comparison of the trendy urban sport Parkour to the trials and travails of the modern teenager, and the film A Hero’s Welcome, which offers a moving look at the realities of post-traumatic stress disorder. All of this and more is coming in October, only on Eurochannel. {rokbox thumb=|images/watch_promo_2.png|}http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ikl3finJ2tE{/rokbox}
