Now in 2015, just after the release of her new single and music video, “Hello,” in anticipation of her most recent album, 25, The Guardian says her new music is “striking, witty and lovelorn.” After five years at the top, Adele sounds angelic without over-singing. To celebrate the release of her new single and album, after a five-year wait, Adele is back on Eurochannel with her passionate songs to keep your senses thrilled. Biography: Adele Laurie Blue Adkins was born in 1988 to a single teenage mother. Influenced at a young age by female singers such as The Spice Girls and Destiny’s Child, Adele developed a love of music. She went to school for music with the goal of one day discovering talent for a record label. After recording a demo for a class project, her friend posted the songs to MySpace, generating buzz. Pretty soon, she received a call from a record label that wanted to sign her. Adele’s debut album, 19, gained her recognition for her soulful voice and led to comparisons with other female singers like Amy Winehouse and Duffy. Adele dismissed the comparisons, saying that they were “a gender, not a genre.” Her sophomore album, 21, was released in 2011 and has since gone nine times platinum and even debuted at #1 on the US Billboard charts. The first single, the dark and bluesy “Rolling in the Deep,” has spent multiple weeks at the top of the charts in the US, UK, and all over the world. In October 2015 Adele released “Hello,” the first single of her new album, 25. |
