Presentation:

Heartthrob James Blunt may be the hottest thing to come out of England in years. Now, this young pop superstar is coming straight to Eurochannel in the special James Blunt: Some Kind of Trouble. Get to know James Blunt like never before, with an exclusive interview, a tell-all biography, and his very best of his music videos, such as “High”, “Wisemen”, “Same Mistake”, “Carry You Home”, and the hit “You're Beautiful.” His latest hit, “Stay the Night” is also on display, along with the greatest singles from his third and most recent album Some Kind of Trouble (2010).

For Blunt, this latest work is more than just a collection of songs. It’s a call back to better times, it’s an album that “captures a bit of the dense humor of the 80’s, sending the same optimism of the time when I was a teenager.” In Some Kind of Trouble the singer explores the ideas of “freedom, enthusiasm and ingenuity” bringing a unique musical experience that’s sure to uplift the soul and bring back fans’ lust for life.

Blunt discusses his album history further, saying, "My second album, All the Lost Souls (2007), talked about perception. But these new songs do not play tribute to fame nor adoration of celebrities. Some Kind of Trouble, is about reality. I have been having fun with my friends lately, writing songs about the world we live in and how the future should be.”

Produced by Steve Robson, Some Kind of Trouble, has songs like “These Are the Words” and “Superstar” which croon in romantic acoustic guitar, Blunt’s signature style. Stay the Night expands on this playful style, bringing in new flourishes, including musical references to the classic “Is This Love” from Bob Marley.

James Blunt was born into a military family, and right from the start he showed himself to be a true prodigy. He earned his pilot’s wings at 16, and went on to serve in the war over Kosovo. Looking down on the brutality of war, Blunt began to express his emotions through his art; first in words and poems, and then he put them to music. Now he sings and performs all around the world, bringing light and optimism to fans everywhere.

The single You're Beautiful, a hit from his first album Back to Bedlam (2004), showed the world his talent. To his most illustrious admirer, Sir Elton John, this song was a modern continuation of Your Song, one of the superstar’s greatest anthems. In the UK it was the seventh more played song in 2000, while Back to Bedlam was one of the most sold albums of the last decade – in front of a list that includes Angels (Dido, 2000), Back to Black (Amy Winehouse, 2006), Spirit (Leona Lewis, 2007) and White Ladder (David Gray, 2000).
