Claire (Sandrine Bonnaire) is a highflier.  She is married, has two children, and a successful career as a medical representative for a major pharmaceutics company. Pierre (Jacques Gamblin) is an improviser, but not an actor. He lives from hand to mouth by entertaining at seminars and company conventions with his colleagues Karim (Zinedine Soualem) and Alice (Isabelle Candelier). At one of these conventions, the paths of Claire and Pierre cross and Claire finds herself attracted towards him, even though they have nothing in common.

For 24 hours, they brush against each other, sniff each other out and talk to each other. Brief encounter, brief romance, doomed or not, who can say? When things like that happen, you act on the spur of the moment.
