This is the story of a man who killed himself because people refused to believe that his name was Roger Joly. And yet, Roger (Daniel Russo) existed for seventeen years... until the day his world collapsed around him.

The law proclaimed that Roger Joly’s real name was Azis Bensala. A magistrate sentenced him to five years in prison for using a fake identity, for forgery and and fraud. As a consequence, that very night in his prison cell near Montpellier, Roger hung himself with his sheets. Before doing it, he wrote to his lawyer: “The thing I can't stand is that I am taking the rap for this Bensala that I don't know from Adam. I'm ashamed of the lies and I don't want to see anymore of myself. Farewell."
