Vladimir Cosma In Concert Presentation: Eurochannel honors one of Romania’s greatest composers, Vladimir Cosma. Cosma is a musical renaissance man, and is skilled as a composer, a violinist, a pianist, and an orchestral director. He is famous for producing and performing countless soundtracks for American and French television programs and feature films, including Les Aventures de Rabí Jacob, (1973), by Gérard Oury, Le Bal (1983) by Ettore Scola, and La Gloire de Mon Père (1990) and Le Château de Ma Mère (1990) by Yves Robert. For a musician of such talent, one program is not nearly enough, and so Eurochannel is pleased to present two unique features: first is the uncut version of Cosma Intime, a one-of-a-kind documentary about his life and influences, and second is his much beloved performance at the Cosma au Châtelet concert. Synopsis: An 80 minutes concert with writer and composer Vladimir Cosma leading the remarkable Orchestre National d'Ile de France at the famous Théâtre du Châtelet. Cosma presents some of his greatest hits from the cinema like The Mad Adventures of Rabbi Jacob (1973), Diva (1981), and My Father's Glory (1990). The concert was filmed by Gilles Amado on March 9th, 2010. |
