Biography Lunetta Savino Born in Bari, Lunetta Savino is an Italian actress who began her career in theatre and cinema at the age of 17. She was quite successful playing in Macbeth in Italy at the age of 24. Lunetta Savino began her film and television career with small roles but soon she became widely known in Europe through her role in Medico in Famiglia in which she played Cettina. Her theatrical career began in 1981 with Macbeth and continues to this day (2009). She played in Il Mercante di Venezia in 1984, Le Sorelle Materassi (inspired by Aldo Palazzeschi) in 1988, and Medea in 1994. In 1995, she played in Prova Orale per Membri Esterni at the Teatro dei Fiori in Rome, directed by Claudio Grimaldi, a play that was performed in several Italian cities. Two years later she took part in Casa di Bambola - L'altra Nora inspired by Henrik Ibsen, and directed by Leo Muscato. The performance was played in 150 theatres across Italy. She was also given movie roles in Grog in 1982, in Matrimoni in 1998, Viva la Scimmia in 2002 and Saturno Contro in 2007. She interpreted different roles in TV series such as Un Medico in Famiglia (A Doctor in the Family), Il Figlio della Luna (The Son of the Moon), Il Bello delle Donne (The Beauty of Women), and Il Coraggio di Angela (Angela's courage). She finally took the role of Elena Ferrucci in Raccontami. |
