Europa Paulistana (2006) Directors: Michel Tikhomiroff, Edu Rajabally This program deals with the relation that European immigrants have with the city of Sao Paulo. People who live daily in the biggest city of Brazil adapt themselves to pleasures and difficulties of the city and speak about their experience. Throughout their way of life, their feelings and their uncertainties, we can discover a territory as large as captivating. There are four different histories about Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and German immigrants. They tell us how day-to-day life is in Sao Paulo and speak about the city´s beauty, social and cultural differences, importance of the family, professional life and above all, stress and violence in the streets. Moreover, the originality of the plot, the pre-production, and the way of filming, makes Europa Paulistana an innovative program offering a true riddle to discover, but secrets would be revealed only at the end of the documentary.
