Presentation:

How far would you go for love? In Little Rose, we watch this question play dramatically out as a forbidden love between a young woman and an old writer blossoms. This moving story, set in the chaotic years leading up Poland's liberation, is a tale of love, politics, and the deepest emotions of the human heart.

In the film, as in real life, the Soviets would use everything, even love, as a weapon. Their strategy, utilized countless times across Europe, was to make a target fall for one of their agents, the better to gather intelligence and to discover their victim's most secret fears. The victim in this story is a man named Adam, a renowned writer who is known for boldly criticizing the 1960s Polish government.

Of course, where love is concerned, nothing ever goes according to plan. Soon Kamila begins, to her husband's ire, to truly care for her would-be victim. In a desperate effort to protect Adam, she turns on her employers in the secret service. However, in Soviet controlled Poland, defiance is an invitation to tragedy.

Synopsis:

A well-known writer (Andrzej Seweryn) has an affair with a beautiful, but much younger woman (Magdalena Boczarska). In spite of indignation caused by their differences in age, wealth and social status, he marries this attractive "girl from nowhere". Blinded by his emotions, he doesn't suspect that there may be more to this relationship than meets the eye: His so-called beloved has secretly been seeing another man (Robert Więckiewicz), with whom she shares a dangerous secret.
