Presentation:

The Italian Alps are beautiful but also dangerous. In the middle of a mesmerizing landscape of snow-white mountains and starry skies, a tangled web of crime and cold-blooded vendetta intertwines in a small town. Only the toughest will survive. Eurochannel premieres The Ice Forest!

There are few places better to hide a corpse than in the slopes of an ice-laden mountain and The Ice Forest depicts that to perfection. In this spine-chilling film – not only because of the weather but also because of its surprising plot – Emir Kusturica portrays Secondo, a man with no remorse. He traffics immigrants into the heart of Europe in this forgotten landscape.

When a young technician arrives at the small border town where Secondo lives, things start going amiss. First, Secondo’s brother disappears. Then, a woman with second intentions starts asking the wrong questions to the wrong people.

A movie that plays with diverse genres like thriller, noir and crime, The Ice Forest deals with controversial subjects like illegal migration, racial profiling, hate and forgiveness. It all blends to perfection with unparalleled performances by Kusturica and his colleagues in a majestic Alpine setting.

Synopsis:
As a snowstorm is about to rage, a young technician arrives in a high-altitude town to repair its electric power plant, he quickly discovers that it is used for sinister purposes.
