Presentation:

A brilliant lawyer’s greatest victory becomes her darkest regret when the truth she fought for reveals itself as a deadly lie. Eurochannel premieres Error Margin.

In Error Margin, the stakes couldn’t be higher, both in and out of the courtroom. The film follows Rebecca Prieto (Anny Duperey), a brilliant lawyer with a spotless track record, whose latest triumph turns into her worst nightmare. Rebecca manages to secure the acquittal of Kevin Gossens (Julien Crampon), a young man accused of the brutal murder of a wealthy woman, her finger severed to steal a valuable ring. Confident in her legal prowess and Kevin’s innocence, Rebecca celebrates the victory—but the celebration is short-lived.

The film takes a dark, unsettling turn when Rebecca receives a gruesome package: a severed finger wearing the stolen ring, accompanied by a chilling thank-you note from Kevin. Suddenly, her certainty crumbles. Doubt gnaws at her as she realizes that the young man she defended may not only be guilty but also dangerous. And worse—he might be planning another crime.

Determined to uncover the truth, Rebecca embarks on a tense personal investigation that takes her across the border to Belgium. There, she encounters Malice (Emilie de Preissac), an impulsive police officer whose unorthodox methods push Rebecca to the edge of her own ethical boundaries. Malice, a volatile force of nature, leads Rebecca on a wild ride through the streets of Brussels, chasing down leads and uncovering the twisted truth behind Kevin’s charm. What follows is a psychological dance between predator and prey, where Rebecca must confront the fact that her legal brilliance may have set a killer free.

Error Margin doesn’t just explore the tension between justice and morality—it dives deep into the fragile trust between lawyer and client, and the dangerous consequences when that trust is misplaced. Rebecca, a woman who built her career on logic and the pursuit of truth, finds herself navigating a world where those same principles are twisted against her. The film cleverly balances legal drama with psychological suspense, creating an atmosphere of constant tension and paranoia.

At its heart, Error Margin is about the thin line between right and wrong, innocence and guilt. As Rebecca spirals deeper into Kevin’s dark world, her choices become increasingly desperate, testing the very ethics she’s sworn to uphold. The film’s gripping narrative is a reminder that sometimes, the margin for error is razor-thin—and crossing that line can have devastating consequences.
