In the idyllic town of Sneek, where the annual regatta promises a week of carefree fun, a group of friends will soon discover that some secrets are too dangerous to stay buried. Eurochannel premieres Scream Week.

The story unfolds as six law graduates—Thijs, Boris, Merel, Lisa, Kim, and Peter—return to Sneek for the renowned regatta, only to find their much-anticipated vacation marred by an unsettling revelation. The group harbors a dark secret from their past involving the mysterious death of their friend Eric, and as they gather for what was meant to be a celebratory week, the truth begins to unravel in unsettling ways.

Upon arriving at their opulent villa, an unexpected tension rises. The villa, not arranged by any of the friends, ignites suspicions and unease. As the group tries to push past their discomfort and embrace the festivities, dark secrets from their past start to resurface. Merel, haunted by a traumatic event, believes that the past is catching up with them, and her fears are soon realized in a series of violent, inexplicable incidents.

The group’s unity begins to fracture under the weight of paranoia and mistrust. As they are haunted by increasingly disturbing occurrences, the line between friend and foe blurs. The sinister atmosphere thickens when Kim is brutally attacked, and suspicions fall on everyone, including themselves. With each passing day, the group’s desperation grows as they realize that their secret might have triggered a deadly chain of events.

Adding to the mounting tension is the enigmatic presence of Maria van Dungen, driven by the personal tragedy of her son Eric's mysterious death. Her relentless pursuit of justice casts a menacing shadow over the group, intensifying their fear and sense of doom. The narrative becomes even more complex as the friends grapple with the impact of prescription drugs like Ritalin and antidepressants, which may be fueling the escalating violence.

Scream Week masterfully weaves a tale of guilt, betrayal, and fear, leaving viewers questioning whether the past can ever be truly buried.
